2014 GRANTS AWARDS

20 area non-profits received grants from The Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky in 2014. A morning news conference was held on May 13th at 9:30 AM at Lost River Cave’s River Birch Room, Bowling Green, KY where the Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Wethington presented checks to this year’s grant recipients totaling $59,679.37.

The Community Foundation of South Central Kentucky meets the changing needs of South Central Kentucky through our discretionary and donor fund grantmaking. Some donors have created funds to support designated charitable agencies, to provide scholarships to students, or to support their ongoing, evolving charitable interests.

Other donors have established funds with a broader purpose or have entrusted the Foundation with unrestricted dollars to respond to the community’s current and evolving needs. Through both types of grantmaking, the Community Foundation is able to change lives and transform communities.
